Peace | Crowell attorneys Jason Crowell and Viet Nguyen have published a new article on project finance structures for nuclear power projects. They note that nuclear power projects are, even when sponsored by private developers, uniquely governmental undertakings and as such a level of governmental support will inevitably be required to structure a successful project-based financing for a nuclear power plant. However, the manner in which governmental financial support is secured is a vital consideration for any new project, and the article explores potential solutions adapted from traditional project finance models.
